My name is Pallvi Shah. My story is that I come from immigrant parents who migrated to the UK in the early 1970’s from East Africa.
Whilst in my early years I was raised in a council estate, my parents worked hard in blue collar industries to buy their own home.
I didn't go to university but instead got my first job in the civil service after completing my A Levels.
The civil service gave me in an opportunity to work with individuals from all walks of life.
While in the civil service I studied and worked and managed to get my CIPD qualification and I was then given a chance to take on my first training role.
Working as a trainer I realised I loved helping people to learn and it gave me joy. After leaving the civil service is when I started working at some of the best law firms in the UK within the training field, managing projects and small teams.
There comes a point in everyone’s life when they think about their purpose and for me it was after my mother passed away. That was when I decided to become a coach. I also became a carer for my father. I understand what it means to juggle carer responsibilities while working full time.
Coaching for me was a way to nurture, support, encourage individuals to realise their potential for their life and careers.
I hold a masters in coaching psychology, MBTI certified and am a member of the Association for Coaching.
